Beautiful melancholic drifter
Went to sleep
against the stars
to moon’s lullaby
beautiful melancholic drifter
went to sleep
hiding its heart’s cries
with the dark skies
Beautiful melancholic drifter
went to sleep.
Beautiful melancholic drifter
Went to sleep
against the stars
to moon’s lullaby
beautiful melancholic drifter
went to sleep
hiding its heart’s cries
with the dark skies
Beautiful melancholic drifter
went to sleep.
Be still
my restless heart
let the thoughts bite the dust this time
The world outside does not owe you anything
You owe it to yourself to do better
Stop losing yourself
in the dark ends of your mind
come out to the light
This is the second poem (posting it a night early as I was inspired to write) as part of the Five Photos Five Series Challenge:“Post a photo each day for five consecutive days and attach a story to the photo. It can be fiction or non-fiction, a poem or a short paragraph and each day nominate another blogger for the challenge”. I was challenged by my friend Staci at https://stacilys.wordpress.com/ .
I nominate my friend Lisa over at https://undergroundenergy.wordpress.com/ for today’s challenge.
Even after all the “NO”
thrown at you by the world
You stood up
and tried yet again to be heard…
for the one “Yes”,
you promised to life.
In the quiet hum of spring breeze
you drifted in between the branches of faded memories
like distant dreams of another time
they made you smile…
finding meaning in life.
This poem for my first of five poems that I will be doing this week. I was challenged by Staci from https://stacilys.wordpress.com/ to the Five Photos Five Series Challenge:“Post a photo each day for five consecutive days and attach a story to the photo. It can be fiction or non-fiction, a poem or a short paragraph and each day nominate another blogger for the challenge”. Staci writes beautiful poetry and engaging posts that make you think about the challenges life throws at you and how to cope with them, do check out her beautiful blog.
For my first nominee for this challenge I challenge Kim from https://zipsrid.wordpress.com/
