Allergic to E challenge

image copyright neha 2015

My good friend Erika from Author Erika Kind invited me to participate in this challenge. If you haven’t visited her blog yet I encourage you to do so now for some great posts that will enrich your lives.

It was harder than I initially thought but I had fun writing it. Thanks for the invite Erika! Here were the Rules…

The rules:

  1. Write a whole paragraph (a paragraph sounds easy right?)
  2. Without any word containing the letter “e” (still easy for ya?)
  3. By reading this you are already signed up.
  4. Challenge at least five bloggers to do the challenge.

The following  is my response:

A child would watch a sun, a moon and a star and think how far it could go to touch it. A child would watch sun rising from dark and think if it could hold it in its’ palms. A child would lay on wings of imagination and fly through cosmos. A child would always try to follow its’ soul. A child could do all of that…could you?

For this challenge my nominees are:

Brad

Staci

Ashish

Michael

Himali

Have fun!

Musings

Do you see what I see when I look at the grey skies

Do you hear what I hear when I hear the birds cry

Do you feel what what I feel when I touch the green grass

Does your heart skip a beat when precious moments pass

Do you smell what I smell when I breathe in the earth

Does your heart connect with mine even when we are apart

Meaning

In the quiet hum of spring breeze

you drifted in between the branches of faded memories

like distant dreams of another time

they made you smile…

finding meaning in life.

Rhyme Challenge with my fellow bloggers/Readers/writers/creative minds :)

Hi Everyone,

I thought I would try a rhyme challenge with all of you…so this is how it will work…you have to try to rhyme with the line before yours placed in the comments section…if you run out of rhyme or if it has all been used you can write something else but make it poetic and add another line to rhyme with it …I will start the first line and hope you all follow by writing your contribution in the comment section and continue the thread by rhyming with the comment before yours…Multiple contributions are welcome! 🙂 Hope we can make it a really long thread with all the talented poets and writers here! I will keep this challenge open for as long as people want to contribute ❤

Rhyme Challenge First line :

I write to find the rhymes of the heart

Perhaps – Non-Love in More than ten lines

Perhaps, the leaves were meant to fall…

Perhaps, we both didn’t give our all…

Perhaps, it was that broken dream…

And perhaps it was me, who couldn’t lean,

on you.

Perhaps, it was the wounded heart…

Perhaps, our roads had to part…

Alas, perhaps is all that will ever be

Always present in thoughts,

of you and me.

The “non love challenge” was presented to me by my good friend Aquileana. Check it out here: https://aquileana.wordpress.com/2015/04/08/%E2%96%BAgreek-mythology-zeus-and-callisto-poetry-poem-challenge/ . If you haven’t been to her blog already I suggest you do so now …She is a great versatile blogger with many interests.

Coming back to the challenge, being a firm believer in love, it was a little difficult for me to write this so I had to really get my writer side out to imagine a “non love” verse. As you can tell I have not followed all the rules and I do not have the word “love” in my piece, and I have 10 lines and not sentences, also I do not think I have an adverb :D. I figured that as it was a creative piece I would just let my thoughts flow. I am not nominating anyone in particular as I just did the “love in ten sentences challenge“; however, I challenge anyone who is up for it and is willing to give “Non-Love in more than ten sentences” a try. Thanks again to my friend Aquileana for coming up with this challenge and I hope my attempt was alright. 🙂

Here is my quote:’Even After All this timeThe Sun never says to the Earth,You owe me.LookWhat happensWith a love like that,It lights the whole sky.” – Hafiz

Good luck Everyone! Do let me know if you choose to participate would love to read it!

Love in ten sentences

Love blossomed in spring

Love bloomed in flowers

Love laid on green

Love laid for hours

Love followed the sunshine

Love landed on summer

Love flew with breeze

Love flew for hours

Love found your heart

Love,it found forever.
