Stars weep for the fallen rainbow,
lost beyond the twinkles of the night sky…
Travelling light years through the infinite cosmos,
Stars weep.

You lay…
mapping the aftermath,
of fallen dreams,
among stars,
close yet far…
twinkling at you,
like that inkling,
that never leaves,
the heart.

Her mind scattered
in abstract sadness
not quite here or there
a dull ache standing like a heavy weight
that refused to leave the heart.

And then you felt it,
the sweet ache of Parting…
and you held on to the memories a little closer,
Like draping a blanket of comfort on your heart,
until you met again…

I did not know there would be a time
when my feet would walk on earth without you…
but here I am,
walking,
under the sun and the rain,
still trying to make sense,
of the distractions that take up so much space,
space where I used to hold you…
and though it’s not often you cross my mind
when you do, I lose track of time
for wasn’t it just yesterday I called you?
And my memories fall
like autumn leaves
drifting away in the breeze
as I remember to keep walking…
walking on earth without you.
