Her naked heart
reached out seeking warmth
in the cold minds,
that had forgotten, the sun.

Sometimes I wait for logic
To catch up to my intuition,
A little shaken, a little stirred.
Somewhere in a yesterday
she lost a smile
that took away her ability
to breathe…
for she finally recognized the lie
that had disguised
as truth, in her heart.

You lay…
mapping the aftermath,
of fallen dreams,
among stars,
close yet far…
twinkling at you,
like that inkling,
that never leaves,
the heart.

Sometimes,
I fall deep,
into the abyss,
of my shadow,
larger than life,
it engulfs me,
and I forget…
all I have to do,
is turn around,
and face,
the sunshine.

Dear Poet,
I see you behind the blue ink
of your spilled heart
fallen
amidst words
that you meant to say,
but never did.
Dear Poet,
I see you…

You did not know
where to begin
as you stood on the edge of your thoughts
trying to find sense
in the nonsensical rhymes
of the rain
pouring outside your window
tapping on the cold pebbles
of your heart
displacing logic
a tad bit to the left
of what you felt was right…
you did not know.

Your eyes rest
on the blue February skies
As your heart gently sighs,
on the poetic wisps of clouds.

Clouds on water
Floating dreams
Of abstract illusions
