Dear Poet,
I see you behind the blue ink
of your spilled heart
fallen,
amidst words
that you meant to say,
but never did.
Dear Poet,
I see you…
Dear Poet,
I see you behind the blue ink
of your spilled heart
fallen,
amidst words
that you meant to say,
but never did.
Dear Poet,
I see you…
In the quiet hum of the rising sun
where hearts sigh,
My beautiful earth gently spun,
writing a sonnet in the sky.
Spinning like nobody was watching,
My earth danced away…
Unaware of the lives it was touching,
in every part of the day.
Splattering the colours of its soul.
my earth sung with the trees
and that song made me whole,
As I felt the morning breeze.
My earth, my earth, my earth, where would I go without you?
Your poetry feeds my soul, you cast away all my blues.
Happy Earth Day!
Stars weep for the fallen rainbow,
lost beyond the twinkles of the night sky…
Travelling light years through the infinite cosmos,
Stars weep.
There are days…
that go without a single mention of you…
as though you, were a figment of imagination,
hidden away…
and then there are days
when there is only you
and the memories you left behind
real, like the rain on my skin
as the clouds float through the sky.
The day unfolded,
quietly,
as your mind drifted,
full of distractions.
A blatant contrast
to the serene light that fell on you,
as you laid out your thoughts
bare,
open like the skies,
infinite with possibilities,
of going anywhere…
but as the light faded into darkness
and the night sang the soft lullaby
you drifted again
to the beginning
or was it the end
in the circle of life.
And some days…
she mused with the skies,
Writing poetry,
in between the branches of life.
Sunday afternoons and baking
Still crave,
the sweet and simple,
Things in life.
And some days…
she mused with the skies,
Writing poetry,
in between the branches of life.
The day unfolded
quietly
as your mind drifted
full of distractions
a blatant contrast
to the serene light that fell on you
as you laid out your thoughts
bare
open like the skies
infinite with possibilities
of going anywhere…
but as the light faded into darkness
and the night sang the soft lullaby
you drifted again
to the beginning
or was it the end…
in the circle of life.
