thoughts from my mind to yours

Dadubhai

Today, I hear your laughter in the skies, and I know you are the reason the sun shines a little brighter, the air smells a little sweeter and our hearts feel a little heavier, with all the love you shared…you always were and will forever be the best Dadubhai…

My grandfather always told us to lead our lives in a way so when we leave, our life can act as a guide to lost souls who are trapped in their thoughts/journey, to help them move forward. We lost our Dadubhai yesterday…he was our guiding light, our mentor, our friend whose strength surpassed the toughest of times…his life was a legacy of the message he shared…his heartwarming laughter, his never-ending quest for knowledge, his birthday messages to his grandchildren, his ability to make people feel so special and most of all his huge heart will forever remain with us all. We miss you Dadubhai ❤ ❤

Promise – Published in Festive Riot

Amidst the darkness and light that filled you,
you hung on to hope,
as you lay your mind
on the first sunrise of the new year…
and in that moment,
you promised your dreams
that you would never stop trying…
you promised your heart
that you would never stop loving…
and in that moment,
you promised your life
that you would never stop living.
So you smiled at the new dawn
and let yourself be content in this feeling,
this moment, that made you happy.

Hello Everyone,

Hope you are all having a fantastic 2017 so far! Last month I was approached by a fellow blogger, Suparna from https://pulsingthoughts.wordpress.com/ about writing something for her non profit online magazine, Festive Riot. The magazine features some great art, poetry and short pieces by individuals around the globe. Needless to say, I was honoured by her request. I am so humbled to be part of their new year edition. Thank you again Suparna for the opportunity. Keep up the great work! Please check out her blog if you haven’t already done so for some great poetry and awesome posts.

You can check out the New Year edition of Festive Riot via this link. My poem in on page 6.

Much Love,

Neha
