Rise,
after every fall,
for all your falls are barely a fraction,
of the number,
the sun has fallen,
and risen again,
spreading light on fallen souls,
from that first lost being on this planet
So Rise.
Rise,
after every fall,
for all your falls are barely a fraction,
of the number,
the sun has fallen,
and risen again,
spreading light on fallen souls,
from that first lost being on this planet
So Rise.
Mesmerized
by the shades of the skies
you stood, barefoot,
watching sunrise,
humbled,
to be
human.
Hi Everyone,
I thought I would try a rhyme challenge with all of you…so this is how it will work…you have to try to rhyme with the line before yours placed in the comments section…if you run out of rhyme or if it has all been used you can write something else but make it poetic and add another line to rhyme with it …I will start the first line and hope you all follow by writing your contribution in the comment section and continue the thread by rhyming with the comment before yours…Multiple contributions are welcome! 🙂 Hope we can make it a really long thread with all the talented poets and writers here! I will keep this challenge open for as long as people want to contribute ❤
Rhyme Challenge First line :
I write to find the rhymes of the heart
PS: please note that I will not be commenting on individual comments this time as I do not want to be disrupting the flow of the challenge…I thank you all in advance and I know it will be wonderful ❤
You tried not to side
with the melancholic mind
but the heart got in the way.
You are like the spec of sand,
carried away by the wind…
far, far, far, away from the land,
where you had always been.
Lost with the sky
you wonder why
the world passes by you
as you daydream
longing for another blue
washing over your grey mind
as you try to find
that forgotten piece of the ocean
lingering with your tears…
and suddenly
you have nothing to fear
for the world is your ocean
and your ocean is the world’s
and as you travel by
floating in the sky
you smile
for it’s worthwhile
to long for home
and to find home
in your longing.
