Weekly Blog Recommendations – Poetry List 2

Hi Everyone, as mentioned before from this weekend on I will be recommending bloggers from different fields every weekend. Here were the previous lists: Weekly Blog Recommendations – Poetry List 1 , Weekly Blog Recommendations – Photography List 1. You can check out some awesome bloggers in those list.

Here is the second list of poetry bloggers for this weekend, more will follow soon , so stay tuned!

1.) Morgan

booknvolume

I am inspired by the variety and beauty of Morgan’s poetry everyday. I highly recommend her blog to everyone searching for the beauty in words. She is a wonderful blogger and I admire her greatly. Here is a sample of her work:

Breathe In Me

I Close my Weary Eyes
And Sigh
I Rest my Breath Upon
Your Bosom
I Exhale Chaos
Pain
Frustration
Turmoil
Confusion
Hurt
Loneliness
And All the Chaff in me,
With its jagged and lacerating edges.

Sigh
Sweet and Softly Deep
Me
Quiet and Gently Free
You
Tenderly Whispering Love
Drift
To Touch You High Above

I Sing in Concert with the Blissful Night
In the Boundless Halls of the Echoing Palace
Of All Your Beauty, Bedecked and Glimmering
Phantasm and Mystery for me to See.

Lush
Delicate
Stirring
Refreshing
Breath of Heaven
Breathe in Me
Sing Past All my Calamity
Rest in Me and Set me Free.

2.) M. Zane Mcllelan

Poetry Channel

I truly enjoy the work of Michael and definitely recommend him to all my readers. I admire how different each of his pieces are from another and the meaning behind them. Do check him out for some beautiful poetry. Here is a sample piece of his work:

Diapers to diplomas

Cool early morning, I can see my breath,
suspended before my eyes, the cloudlets.
Wait for the school bus, my daughter and I.
To keep warm and pass time, we play “I spy.”
~
“I spy with my little eye,” her voice sings!
My heart is smiling from the joy this brings.
She manages to stump me every time,
with castles in clouds, memories divine.
~
A couple of decades now come and gone,
with a diploma, soon out on her own.
Like parents before, I wonder sometimes,
out in the world, what future she will find.
~
Did I do my best, teach her to prepare,
to be successful and happy out there?
Hoping she’s able to make herself proud.
Diapers to Diplomas, castles in clouds.

3.) Belinda

Busymindthinking

Belinda is a beautiful soul who blogs on a variety of topics, and though she has both photographs and poetry, I thought of her when I chose this category. I would definitely recommend her work to all my readers for inspiration and to get to know a wonderful blogger who spreads positive messages through her blog…Here is a sample piece:

Fading

Crinkled paper
Held by
Crinkled hands

Ink fading
Though steadfast
It stands

The story
Is stored
Memory remains

Her love
On paper
Beautiful stains

Time flew
Empty nest
Partner gone

He awaits
His wings
Not long

4.) Richard Tanka

RichardAnkersWrites

Richard’s was one of the first blogs I started following and have been truly inspired by his writing…I highly recommend his work, his poetry has depth that I know readers will enjoy following. Here is a sample of his work:

Moondance

We danced and twirled
Before the moon,
Two souls
Captured in luminance
Beneath an eternal veil
Of glistening dreams.
You smiled,
My breath caught,
And I knew
My life complete,
A moment unsurpassable.
Then, you opened your eyes,
And I knew,
I was wrong.

5.) Starralee

Madwoman of Ghost Harbor

I have just discovered her blog though she has been on wordpress much longer than me. Regardless, I am absolutely delighted to have found her…Her poetry is beautiful and I highly recommend what I have read so far…Here is a piece for you to enjoy:

Night Sounds

Night sounds, darkness lifts—

Old wall clock whisper-ticks;

Evening birds, soft song-speak;

Frogs love-calling—neighborhood creek.

Weekly Blog Recommendations – Poetry List 1

I have decided to start a weekly blog recommendation, which I will post every weekend, highlighting the beautiful blogs I have discovered on this site. It will range from a wide aspect of blogs from poetry, photography, art, travel, and anything under the sun that  catches my eye. I will also try to highlight new blogs that I have discovered from time to time, that I think has a lot of potential.

For the first list, I will give you 5 bloggers of poetry whose work I enjoy very much. They all spread the beautiful word and wrap it up in the perfect gift wrap of poetry. This list is definitely not the entire list of people that I love to follow but just the first, keep an eye out  here for more throughout this weekend and next week. Initially it will focus mostly on poetry or photography blogs but I promise you I will give you a wide variety of topics soon…

1.) Line

The inscrutable paths of the spirit

Line writes beautiful pieces of poetry where she spreads the word of love, peace and hope. I highly recommend each one of her work.

Here is a sample of one of her poetry called: You are Love

You are
an evolution
of Love
expanding
with every act
of devoted kindness

You are
a magnificent sunrise
climbing
towards the peak
of the sky
radiating
soft warmth
while painting
the clouds
with your light

You are
the one
who can quench
the thirst
of your longing
with every
remembered memory
of Love’s perfect Union

2.) AB

Perspective on life and Everything

AB showcases beautiful poetry complimented with some amazing photography. Again highly recommended.

Here is a sample of his work called: Return

New day, new dawn
and I am lost
in a place known
Location determined
situation strange
Mind deranged
Fate arraigned
a joker’s jest
Body protests
hearts arrests
Nothing but pain
Memory lane
Why have I come back?

3.) Anna Mosca

Annamosca

Anna is a biliungual poet who writes in both English and Italian. I do not understand the latter language but I highly recommend all the pieces I have read by her in english 🙂

Here is a sample of her work :

wishing for one more
soundless day

swimming quietly
at the bottom of
a sea of written words

– squealing and chirping
if any outside

the time held
between night

and day between
sleep and awakening

4.) Ihsan

iiThinks

Ihsan writes soulful poetry, and I highly recommend each one I have read so far.

Here is a sample piece called: Beautiful Silence

End the endless talking
Bar your words and thoughts
It’s a state of madness
A veil of distraction

Truth is cloaked in silence
Truth lovers are deeply quiet
They carry a peaceful stillness
You want to reach out and touch

The more you experience
The less you have to say
Words are aught but shadows
Facing the light of Reality

If they’ve ended their endless talking
Then hear what they have to say
They speak volumes with their presence
Their eyes give Divine secrets away

And if they open their mouths
Their words are brief and honest
Doing what they must
For every once in a while

Their words are more beautiful than their silence

5.) Jen

Blase

I am yet to go through a lot of Jen’s works but I really loved all her poetry I have read  and highly recommend it.

Here is a sample of her work :

‘From here to there
all in one breath
Closing my eyes,
I remember…I forget…
I’m beyond the Sky
light-years gone
Swept away by the Melody
of Creation’s Song.’

This here is the first list, watch out for more all through this weekend and each weekend here after! Enjoy and check out some awesome bloggers!

***Note to any bloggers featured in these weekly posts, if you wish for me to remove your name from this list due to any reason please let me know, and I will do so. Also all of the excerpts featured are the works of the bloggers listed, they  each own the copyrights to their own piece and it is not my intention to take credit for it in anyway, hope that is clear to all readers. This is just my effort to appreciate good work. If any bloggers feel that their work has not been properly credited or should not be on the list let me know and I shall remove it. Again thank you all for sharing your beautiful work 🙂
