Comfort May 23, 2014 by forgottenmeadows 11 Comments You comfort me… like the rain comforts the wildflowers, after a dry spell of heat, hugging my sad soul, with love. I have to show you something I wrote several years ago, when I was so caught up with someone. The relationship was volatile and sadly ended 5 years ago- but for the better.
Comfort me my love,
Smother the searing embers of my pain;
Bring fresh water,
drown me in your love.
Heal the wounds that opened,
wounds long present, deeply formed;
Uncovered only by love.
Never till you came
were they bleeding, aching;
Never could they have been seen
but by the gentle touch of your love.
