Wings of the Sky

Wings of the sky
Rested a while
And left our eyes, captive
Beauty perched in autumn.

Wings

Wandering past the windswept meadows …
she felt as though she was floating on a cloud,
the smell of sunshine awoke her senses,
she saw every colour, and heard, every sound
And In the midst of it all, she felt the little tingles
that touched her from head to toe…
She closed her eyes and heard butterfly whispers,
it gave her wings in her dreams and so much more.

Letting go

You let go

of all your ‘whys’

as you stand

beneath the skies

and let the rain

pour on you.

For sometimes

no matter how hard you try

your tired wings just won’t fly

Just like

the sky isn’t always blue…

So

you clear your mind

and you let go

of all your ‘whys’

as you stand

beneath the skies

and let the rain

pour on you.

The North Star

The wings of that star was clipped,

yet it was the first to stand next to the moon,

to guide lost travellers of night,

With its eternal light,

that travelled millions of years,

to reach our eyes,

as we flew to catch our dreams.
