Even after all the “NO”

thrown at you by the world…

You stood up,

and tried again,

to be heard,

for the one “Yes”,

you promised to life.

Promise – Published in Festive Riot

Amidst the darkness and light that filled you,
you hung on to hope,
as you lay your mind
on the first sunrise of the new year…
and in that moment,
you promised your dreams
that you would never stop trying…
you promised your heart
that you would never stop loving…
and in that moment,
you promised your life
that you would never stop living.
So you smiled at the new dawn
and let yourself be content in this feeling,
this moment, that made you happy.

Hello Everyone,

Hope you are all having a fantastic 2017 so far! Last month I was approached by a fellow blogger, Suparna from https://pulsingthoughts.wordpress.com/ about writing something for her non profit online magazine, Festive Riot. The magazine features some great art, poetry and short pieces by individuals around the globe. Needless to say, I was honoured by her request. I am so humbled to be part of their new year edition. Glimmer

The faint hue of red splatters over the sky,

as the sun says its silent goodbye,

and keeps its promise to meet the night,

somewhere between the serene twilight,

and I catch this glimmer of hope,

in your eyes.
