thoughts from my mind to yours

One Day

All the perhaps and maybes

linger in the distant land of tomorrow,

where one day,

on a sunlit morning,

we will let them go.

Perhaps – A Collaboration

This is the third of five collaborations between my friend Michael (https://originaldante.wordpress.com/) and I.  If you haven’t read his talented writing yet, I suggest you do so now! Here is the link to our past collaborations, https://forgottenmeadows.wordpress.com/2015/11/02/emptiness-a-collaboration/https://forgottenmeadows.wordpress.com/2015/12/11/words-a-collaboration/

It was a pleasure to work with Michael again on this topic, that I feel is very poetic in its nature – “Perhaps”. We both drew our own muse from the word and the following is our collaboration.

Michael is this color

Neha is this color

Perhaps

My doormat of a heart

Has been stomped on enough.

Perhaps

If I change

Circumstances will follow suit;

Fate covering all those gaps

That have denied me closure.

Perhaps

If I look closer

At who I am, and what I do

I won’t have to choose

Between being myself;

And pleasing you.

Perhaps

If I kneel down and pray

All will go away.

Perhaps

one day

behind the cloud
hiding the moon
I will find
my faded dreams
my long lost tune
of my soul
Perhaps
in the clarity
of the clear skies
I will stop
the lies
I say to my heart

Perhaps – Non-Love in More than ten lines

Perhaps, the leaves were meant to fall…

Perhaps, we both didn’t give our all…

Perhaps, it was that broken dream…

And perhaps it was me, who couldn’t lean,

on you.

Perhaps, it was the wounded heart…

Perhaps, our roads had to part…

Alas, perhaps is all that will ever be

Always present in thoughts,

of you and me.

The “non love challenge” was presented to me by my good friend Aquileana. Check it out here: https://aquileana.wordpress.com/2015/04/08/%E2%96%BAgreek-mythology-zeus-and-callisto-poetry-poem-challenge/ . If you haven’t been to her blog already I suggest you do so now …She is a great versatile blogger with many interests.

Coming back to the challenge, being a firm believer in love, it was a little difficult for me to write this so I had to really get my writer side out to imagine a “non love” verse. As you can tell I have not followed all the rules and I do not have the word “love” in my piece, and I have 10 lines and not sentences, also I do not think I have an adverb :D. I figured that as it was a creative piece I would just let my thoughts flow. I am not nominating anyone in particular as I just did the “love in ten sentences challenge“; however, I challenge anyone who is up for it and is willing to give “Non-Love in more than ten sentences” a try. Thanks again to my friend Aquileana for coming up with this challenge and I hope my attempt was alright. 🙂

Here is my quote:’Even After All this timeThe Sun never says to the Earth,You owe me.LookWhat happensWith a love like that,It lights the whole sky.” – Hafiz

Good luck Everyone! Do let me know if you choose to participate would love to read it!

Forgotten Maybes – What are yours?

Sometimes…

perhaps…

someday…

we will remember…

our forgotten maybes.

Question to fellow bloggers/readers/friends- What are some of the “maybes” that you would like to do? Travel to a new place? Read that book you always wanted? Find yourself? Would love to know.
