I Never Knew…

Hello Everyone,

It’s been a while since I have been on here and the reason being is that I recently had a baby boy in October. 🙂 We are elated to have our bundle of joy; however, it does limit my time online…thank you as always for your continued support. I will try to be here when I can and check out your posts! Do leave me your thoughts in comments and I will try to get back when I am able!

Here is a small piece that I wrote for our son

I never knew my heart could expand,
until your tiny body was placed on it
and I felt your heartbeat against mine…
I never knew my love could grow any stronger,
until I looked at your innocent face
looking at the world for the first time.
I never knew I would stay awake dreaming,
watching you,
with my tired, sleep deprived eyes,
just to see you smile.

Mother’s Heartbreak

It carries through a thousand seas,
beyond the tears in you and me,
it stops the flowers in mid-bloom,
and the evening sun senses it too…
As it bleeds red into the sky,
embracing the mother’s cry,
the world seems to fall apart,
trying to heal a mother’s heart.

It carries through a thousand seas
Beyond the tears in you and me
conquering heaven with every breath,
A mother feels her heart break…

This is dedicated to the families in Florida who lost their loved ones in the recent school shooting…This is especially to the mother’s whose grief is beyond what I can imagine…My heartfelt condolences and love to the families who have gone through such horrific tragedies, in Florida and elsewhere. Let there be peace, let there be hope, let there be love.

Happy Mother’s Day!

Since my first wobbly steps,

you were there to catch my fall,

Holding me every time,

Till the day I learnt to stand tall,

on my own two feet.

Even now, on my dark days,

when I tend to stumble my way,

you are there with open arms,

for  my heart to lay,

on yours.

There have been days,

where I have seen the sky as red,

and you have seen it as blue,

but never has it changed the love,

between me and you.

So though I know,

I don’t often show,

in too many words…

I thank you,

for being the best mother there is,

in this whole wide world…

I love you.
