thoughts from my mind to yours

Presence #Writephoto

Your presence linger
in the faded memories
of childhood
when we ran through summer meadows
under sunshine,
it too has faded away…
since you’ve left…
but your presence linger
on days, when the sun forgets to be away
and sunlight kisses my sepia dreams.

If your memory could speak to your mind…Napowrimo Day#6

Why do you hide me
to plaster a smile on your face
when you see them?
Why do you shred me in pieces
analyzing every angle,
tormenting your already tormented heart?
Why do you cradle me
with your favourite old school tune,
and drown in nostalgia,
on a lazy Saturday afternoon?
Why am I kept in this dusty part of your mind that is always so foggy
that you have a hard time accepting if I ever was real?
Why do you keep years worth of love stored away…
Is perhaps what the memory would say, if it could question the mind.

Enchanted Rain

So many memories,

fall like enchanted rain,

of another time, another place…

When you held my hand, and hugged me,

cupped my little face, in your palms…

and now as I stare at the clear skies,

waiting with the deep blue ocean,

as the wind blows by,

I hug you in my heart…

hoping, my hand will reach your soul.

Remembering…

Remembering you and your bearded smile,

Like nine years have not gone by,

with our heart full of memories,

of yesterday…

**Dedicated to my uncle who passed away in 2005. It is  sometimes hard to believe nine years have passed  since the day.
