She wondered if earth felt her melancholic heart,
as she watched summer rain tap on her window.
Her favorite distraction at work.

Does it really matter
what is real…
When the clutter of imagination
scatters through the mind,

Frazzled thoughts like frazzled hair,
on a humid day without rain.
of the distracted mind,
waiting on the cumulus of knowledge,
to pour again.
Strings of invisible ribbons tie us to an ancient path of mindless banter…
rounded pebbles and cool water underneath our feet…
splashing us from echoes of swirls…
and carved scriptures and feathered inked dipped tips…
fog and sanity,
lost in the unknown places of the mind.
