Weekly Blog Recommendation – Lifestyle Blog list 1

Hi Everyone,

Happy First Weekend of June! I thought I would bring you some blogs I follow of bloggers who write about life, relationships, gardening, world issues and other things and usually leave a positive and meaningful message in their posts. A lot of them are poets and photographers as well, but because of the versatility in their content I felt I would do this category for these lovely people who uplift the blogging world by sharing theirs 🙂 As always previous lists can be found under the recommendation section. There will be many more lists this month so stay tuned!

1.) Ramblings from Jewels

I have been following Julie for a while now and am always uplifted by her beautiful posts. She also writes beautiful poetry and takes some wonderful photos, especially the ones of her garden. Her posts are always positive and full of meaning that we can use in our life. I encourage everyone to check out her blog.

2.) Chronic Conditions and Life Lessons

I started following Kim a couple months ago and am always touched with her heartfelt writing she usually shares on family and relationships. She used to be professional entrepreneur and I was quite inspired by her about me page. As her blog title suggests , there are many life lessons that her posts usually hold and I hope everyone checks out her beautiful blog.

3.) Writing to Freedom

Brad is also a poet but like these bloggers here on the list has a very versatile content in his blog. He shares many inspiring stories and messages that make us think and reflect on life. I highly recommend everyone to go check out his blog and enjoy his uplifting posts on life.

4.) Underground Energy

I have recently started following Lisa and she is another blogger with many talents. She  is a mother of four beautiful girls and shares her poetry, crafts and posts on life which are thought provoking and meaningful. I hope everyone takes the time to go see her wonderful work.

5.) Witlessdatingafterfifty

Robin is another blogger whose posts always leave you thinking, whether it is her poetry, her thoughts on relationships, family or books. Her posts are well thought out, meaningful and engaging. I recommend all my readers to go check out her wonderful blog and the positive vibe she shares on life.

***Note to any bloggers featured in these weekly posts, if you wish for me to remove your name from this list due to any reason please let me know, and I will do so. Also all of the excerpts featured (if featured)  are the works of the bloggers listed, they  each own the copyrights to their own piece and it is not my intention to take credit for it in anyway, hope that is clear to all readers. This is just my effort to appreciate good work. If any bloggers feel that their work has not been properly credited or should not be on the list let me know and I shall remove it. Again thank you all for sharing your beautiful work

Don’t Cry

I will fight a million fights,

with the raging skies,

Just to bring a smile,

to your tear filled eyes,

don’t cry…

for your tears can extinguish,

the brightest fires of any night,

and it can stop any heart,

from taking flight,

don’t cry.

You are…

You are the strongest winds in the storm,

You are brightest rays of the dawn…

You are free falling to the ground,

You are flying high beyond the cloud,

You are the quietest and the loudest sound…

You are war and you are peace,

You are here and you are out of reach,

You are the strongest winds in the storm,

You are the brightest rays of the dawn.

Walks in the Dawn

sun logo

You and I would go for walks,

in the wee hours of dawn,

talking about little things,

like birds, chirping in the morn…

Hand in hand we would walk,

in those beautiful days,

stepping on the dry leaves,

as we walked by the lake.

I loved to see the broad smile,

that filled up your face,

when you told me stories,

of your childhood days.

I parted with you with a promise,

that we would walk again,

But you had it broken,

For you, the journey was to end.

You left me without saying goodbye,

left me with only memories to hold…

So that when I would walk again,

I would think of you some more…

Think of the birds, the trees,

and the stories that were told.

I can’t hold it against you,

though I can’t say I haven’t tried,

I was mad at you for leaving,

without saying good bye.

Well, I guess farewell wasn’t a word in your book,

You did prefer sunrise,

So I will remember the walks in the dawn,

till I see you again, and get a chance to say “Hi”

**This was written a while ago as a tribute to my grandfather ( dad’s dad) who passed away when I was fifteen. For those of you who have been following my blog, this is my other grandpa not the same one I mentioned in the post On Goodbyes and See you laters   . He is my mom’s dad and is still living. Both of them are very special to me.

Is the Spring coming?

“Is the spring coming?” he said. “What is it like?”…
“It is the sun shining on the rain and the rain falling on the sunshine…”

Longing

Tonight I feel an irresistible longing…
For those lazy nights in front of the fire…
The un-rushed conversations of our hearts desire…
Smiles that tugged at the corner of our lips…
The Warmth that spread from our ears to our fingertips…
The snuggles under the huge blanket,
and a cup of hot chocolate.
Tonight I feel an irresistible longing…

Calm Night Across the River

Calm night across the river,

That’s hard to see in the middle of day.

Calm night across the river,

Where there is no farmer to make hay.

Calm night across the river,

Where large waves slowly capsize.

Calm night across the river,

Where moon lights brightly every night.

It’s the place where the trees dance,

Giving off a gentle breeze,

It’s where we all rest when we hand in our day’s keys.

Calm night across the river,

It’s the place I see in my dreams.
