You stood,
at the edge of your thoughts
staring at the terracotta sky,
wondering why,
they fly, away.

She did not hear them call her name
as she stared at the crescent moon
at twilight
The words that went away, came
storming her mind
and she let her the ink flow
writing the stories that threatened
to overthrow sleep
tonight.

In response to Sue’s beautiful #Writephoto Prompt
In between the branches of the human condition
you fall like fireflies of stardust
of dreams that travel through the world
of sparkling stars
burning through the cosmos
you fall
gently
softly
tired
you fall
into the black hole
asleep.

We are more than sunlit afternoons
And carefully crafted love letters,
More than the poetry and the art we create…
But in this moment of playful banter,
When you ask me if I love you,
I squeeze your hand
my heart still flutters
When you squeeze back.

The above poem is a snippet of an old poem which can also be found here on this blog if you wish to look 🙂
And the world so wide,
still felt small
to hold our love.

And when you find all the little pieces
scatter them back to the winds
for they are the hearts of bohemian wanderers
who find themselves in the sky.

I find magic in this surreal twilight,
between night and day,
The concept of time,
vanishes from my mind,
in gentle waves,
as I wander into the forest of stars,
with you.

It was not always like matches and wildfires but their love was like peaceful sleep after a long hard day, like sunrise after a dark storm, the smell of flowers that lingered long after you walked away, their love was like answers to questions of the heart.
