We need words…
now more than ever
that bring us together
we need poetry and poets
and story tellers and artists
who weave tales
of hope, love, kindness and resilience
that we as mankind need to remember
during these uncertain and chaotic times
we need words
now more than ever…

This reminds me of a song by the pop group, Bread – one of my favs back in the day. Anyway the name of the tune was “IF” and here are the lyrics:
If a picture paints a thousand words
Then why can’t I paint you?
The words will never show
The you I’ve come to know
If a face could launch a thousand ships
Then where am I to go?

Words can heal but cannot fill the empty stomach
Words can do promises like leaders do but never fulfill
Words can calm mind but mind will not work when stomach burns
Words can be thunderstorm but cannot quench thirst
Yes, words can become a thread to bind you together
to live and die together.

yet you have expressed so much with words…I still believe words can heal even the most hopeless in their minds…yes it cannot quench thirst but compassionate words are needed today for all…to at least hope for a better tomorrow.
