  1. You know, i’m so tempted to post another piece for this! 🙂

  2. That’s awesome news! 🎉

  3. Love this idea. Do I post the poem here in comments, or do I email it to you?

  4. Peace or Hate

    Will this be a day of peace when
    no atrocities slash our screens,
    no brutality, hate of men;
    instead compassion swells the scenes?

    Across the world, too many wars;
    we need more healing in between.
    Too much destroying, leaving scars;
    we need God’s love to intervene.

    Amid what has become routine
    how will we show His grace and light
    to broken, outcast and unseen;
    transform to daylight from the night?

    One hand stretched out on which to lean,
    one kindness upon which to grow
    may gently anger from us wean,
    allowing seeds of love to sow.

    Instead of backs turned, try to glean
    a glimpse from eyes of others’ pain.
    The heart’s compassion does convene
    our souls with God’s serene domain.

  5. What a beautiful poem showing how peace looks: “One hand stretched out on which to lean,
    one kindness upon which to grow” – and “heart’s compassion.”

    Truly, it will be a great day of peace when this happens. – Marie

  6. Hi, Please could this poem also be included in the Poets for Peace collaboration: I give my permission for it to be used by Praxis online magazine. My url is and I m from Kent, United Kingdon. Thank you
    Together we are stronger
    And our voices will be heard
    We want to join together
    And make a difference with our words
    The world has become divided
    So much blood had now been shed
    It is time to become united
    And find a peaceful way instead
    No one wants to live their lives
    With a cloud above their head
    Wondering if this is the day
    That they will end up dead
    I thought this earth we were given
    Was for all of us to share
    Regardless of our differences –
    But it seems nobody cares
    Wouldn’t it be boring?
    If we were all the same
    We need tolerance and understanding
    And a very open mind
    It doesn’t take much effort
    To be courteous and kind
    Let’s all make the effort
    To stand together and be strong
    And teach the next generations
    That we can all get along!
