Hi Everyone,
As many of us look ahead to the long weekend coming up and building new memories …I want to ask my fellow friends and bloggers…what are some of your fondest memories you have in your favourite place or places? Could be a recent or a childhood tale…or anything in between… Please share in the comment section! Looking forward to reading many stories π
Here are a few of mine:
One of my favourite childhood memories was visiting my grandparent’s house in India during summer vacations…the train ride…the long walks with my Β grandfather, the numerous stories that I made him tell me…were all part and parcel of what made it so special…
Another was a trip my Mom and I took to Montreal…it was a girl’s trip…My mom and I share are very close bond and Β we had an awesome time touring Montreal on the tour buses! π
My trip with my husband to Kerala was perhaps one of the most memorable trips with the house boat experience and the quiet time we got to spend with each other away from everything…in the scenic beauty of nature.

I like New England and a seaside town called Rockport, Massachusetts. I enjoy knowing my Mom’s family American roots started growing there.
I remember my Grandparents living in Middletown, Ohio where there were times in the park Grandpa would push us on the swings, Grandma would bake a German kuchen and our toast spread with homemade jams. Thanks for sharing your memories, Neha.

Wow nice picture.
My best memories,
One with my friends having hot tea and veg mamoos in a small cafe at night 12:30 @ Manali. Love it.
And that trip on whole was full of memories.
Trip to Amritsar. Golden temple, my eyes were not enough to capture more of it.
Trip to tirupati with my parents. I learnt a lot in this trip about how to manage the long trips in a short time. π

When I was 9 years old I spent 2 weeks at my grandpa’s in Vienna. That was the most wonderful time ever. I was crying back home. My favorit destination has been California for 6 years now. I’ve been 9 times to the Southern part and probably will make the 10 this year.

Lol can’t believe I forgot that detail; It was in Moscow, Russia…during the frosty winter, everyone was all huddled up, felt like a movie scene lol

It’s fun to dig into fun memories and feelings associated with place. One of mine would be my grandparents home in Vista CA with its exotic fruits, well-tended garden, mediterranean climate, and exotic desert surroundings. A treat for the senses. Plus time with my grandparents whom we only could visit about once a year or two. Thanks Grandpa and Grandma! π

o that sounds so much fun! I love visiting gardens like that …and as a child with your grandparents I can imagine the fun you must have had! Thanks for sharing my friend π

Sweet memories. π

I just had to comment….you never see anyone refer to Vista, Ca. We raised our children in Vista and lived there for over 20 years. Most people just say “San Diego County” or “Carlsbad’ since it’s more known…I can picture the type of garden you are talking about! Seeing that comment pulled me to your blog…great photography!!

Wonderful and thank you Kirt. I have wonderful memories of their home and garden and wish I had moved to the area when it was much more affordable. Thanks for visiting and connecting. π Blessings, Brad

I’m going to stick to a 4th of July theme…over the years my wife and I have lived in homes that are on hills with 360 views from either the roof or a second story deck. (Denver and San Diego) So my best memories as we raised our children was always hosting a 4th of July BBQ and then everyone gathering (in Denver we had everyone climb onto the roof…San Diego a deck off of our bedroom) to watch the fireworks from the different towns around us in all directions. It has always been such a warm, loving and peaceful time with family and friends and has left such a great series of memories. We still carry on the tradition even after our move to the Phoenix area, but now at our daughters where they live by a community lake where the homeowners association has fireworks!

that sounds wonderful, intimate and just a perfect memory over all…everyone climbing onto the roof sounds fun! thank you so much for sharing Kirt and have a wonderful weekend ahead π π
