What have you gained from blogging /What has it meant to you?

Starting this blog last year was perhaps one of the best things I have done…I started it with the thought of working more on my writing but I have received so much more.

I have gained virtual friendships of genuine people who care, I have gained appreciation for my work that would have been long forgotten and Β filled with dust on the pages of my journal and I have gained the confidence to keep writing not just as a hobby but to venture out alongside my business career. Of course there are many more things that this community has given me but those were just the few important ones… I want to ask my fellow bloggers: what have you gained from blogging? Hope to see many responses in the comment section!

  1. Great to hear you’ve gained so much from blogging Neha…Like you love the community we have here as well the fact that you get to learn so much about writing and publishing from fellow bloggers on here.

  2. That’s wonderful. Good for you. I’ve only just started my new blog, although I did have a different one in 2013 to 2014 which i now stopped. I felt as my life changed so did my writing so the new blog feels more in alignment with who I am today. I most look forward to making new connections and sharing the love as I start this new journey πŸ™‚

  3. I have gotten the privelege and honor of meeting wonderful people like you! So glad you blog~

  4. Neha, that is so great. Blogging has been really fun for me and like you, I have made many new virtual friends. I have also really enjoyed sharing art and seeing what other artists and writers are creating. I have also learned so much about topics I would never have thought to explore on my own.

    • Yes I agree that is very true about exploring so many different forms of art and writing that we get to do on this platform! It is quite inspiring at times! I am glad blogging has been so much fun for you too and thank you so much for sharing! ❀

  5. Great post, Neha. blogging is great fun, I have made many virtual friends, some which have been around for three years now. πŸ™‚

  6. Oh my goodness. Where do I start? I started this blog not really knowing where I was going with it. I just knew I had a desire to start a blog. I started out with small articles of my thoughts, and some fitness and recipe type of stuff. Then, all-of-a-sudden I wrote a poem, and then another, and another, and the passion for writing poetry was born. I have come to consider it my creativity cupboard where I can create and then lance it out into the world. I, like you, have made some awesome virtual friendships (like you ❀ ), gained appreciation for what I share, been challenged to grow more and more in my art, amongst other stuff.
    Blessed to know you Neha.

  7. I feel it had filled a place in my life, which I did not realize I needed to fulfill. I enjoy meeting new people and continuing to learn about the people I have met through blogging. I am happy we have been ‘together’ as friends, through thick and thin. I feel blessed knowing you and wish I could write comments every time! Your writing is beautiful, Neha. Smiles, Robin

    • aww that is such a heartfelt comment and another reason why I love all the people I meet here…so genuine and caring like your self ❀ I know and understand time sometimes comes in between what we want to do and what we get done but your encouragement and thoughts are always appreciated ❀ Big hugs!

  8. Great blog prompt Neha! I’m amazed by the talent on wordpress. There are so many great writers and artists in this community. My blog brings me such happiness, both from the comments I receive and the work I see other people doing. Keep going with your beautiful writing! – Jennifer

    • aww thank you so much Jennifer and yes the talent here is amazing! I would have never known this platform and connected with so many other writers and artists had it not been for blogging including reading your wonderful work! Thank you as always for sharing! πŸ™‚

  9. I’ve gained some wonderful friends…have the advantage of reading others works and that has inspired me a lot…. πŸ™‚

  10. Besides meeting you my good friend, my writing has evolved considerably…and as a person I feel i’ve changed by quite a degree…here’s to our blogging community *raises wine glass*

  11. Thanks Neha. I started on a whim and suggestion from a friend and found an enjoyable creative outlet to explore writing, share my photos and most importantly, it has become a great community of connection, learning and sharing. to our WP community!

  12. I have gained much the same as you. I have found some wonderful people online to talk with, a community of writers I could never have found in the physical world. I have gained confidence in my writing and in myself. Now if I could just master the technical side of blogging, I’d be happy. πŸ™‚

  13. If not for my blog i would never have posted the poem that led me to meet the woman I want to spend my life with. I suppose, in one way blogging has gained me happiness in ways i never expected it to. Another aspect of blogging, which you have already touched upon, is the connections we forge with other bloggers and readers. Being granted a window into the thoughts of another person is an intimate thing, and precious. : )
