thoughts from my mind to yours

Horizon

I have been to places,
have walked miles…
Where did it go?
It has been a while,
I saw it across the horizon…
Seemed like yesterday,
Just traces remain,
in your broken smile,

I saw it across the horizon…
life

  1. Very nice! Perfect pairing with the image!

  2. Oh wow. Yea, life will really pass you bye if you don’t drink in your moments.

  4. So beautiful! ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. Wow, this is fabulous–love the image, and love “just traces remain in your broken smile” (heart sighing).

    • aww thank you so much! ๐Ÿ™‚ โค

      • Sometimes another poet, like you, will put the words together that make me say, “oh, I wish I’d thought of that!”

      • aww that is very sweet of you but I have to say I can completely relate to that feeling when I read some of the talented work presented here by poets, including yourself ๐Ÿ™‚ Reading good writing gives me a high ๐Ÿ˜€ (if that makes any sense)

      • Yes, it does. I was talking with a blogger I met when I started out, 3 yrs ago (we were blessed to meet in person, and as she lives fairly near, we talk on the phone), and she has repeatedly told me that my writing has gotten better, stronger in these almost 3 yrs. So there really is something to being in the “community”, where we’re reading, and being read–that sharpens our skills.

      • That is very true, I think that faculty of our mind also gets better with consistent use in this forum ๐Ÿ™‚ I am very happy to be part of this community ๐Ÿ™‚

  6. Graceful! Your poems allow us to see beauty “accross the horizon”
Merci pour la douceur et la grรขce de ta poรฉsie !
